Dhanbad, June 15: Priya Paul, daughter of an auto driver, despite facing all adverse situations, has cracked NEET with 612 marks.

Priya Paul, a resident of Sindri Manohartand Basti and daughter of Vairav Paul got the success in her second attempt. She completed her 10th  Board from the state government-run Baghmara High School Baliapur and  Inter from Sindri College, Sindri, a constituent college of  Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU).

Priya gave credit for her success to  Prayash India, the organization of BIT Sindri engineering students which gives coaching free of cost to the poor boys and girls of slums and townships, and teachers of her college.

“ I  run my family of four by earning from auto. In this situation providing her coaching at any reputed institute was not possible for me. She herself laboured hard and took help from online free coaching besides Prayash India of BIT Sindri students,” said Vairav Paul.

Priya observed that despite studying in a government school and college, she had the confidence to crack NEET from self-hard labour and the guidance of teachers.

Vairav has been driving an auto for the last 35 years to earn a livelihood for his family and cater requirements of his daughter and son’s education. His son is studying at DeNobili School Sindri. He rued he was not able to provide proper facilities (copies and books) to his daughter otherwise she could have completed NEET on the very first attempt.

“ She reached such step ( qualify in NEET)  by studying in a government school and college but the study in medical college looks uphill task without help from the government or others,” Vairav Paul said.
