Dhanbad, Dec 3: People’s representatives, social activists, artists and other distinguished people of the coal city joined disabled students to observe ‘International Disabled Day’ on Friday morning.

A rally was organized by ‘Pahla Kadam School’ of disabled kids at Randhir Verma Chowk in the morning to mark the special day. Disabled students carrying different posters and banners participated in the rally.

Dhanbad sadar MLA Raj Sinha highly appreciated the step of Pahela Kadam School authorities on the occasion and said that such type of activities for disabled persons will increase confidence among them. “They possess all knacks  to excel in every field of society but they need only confidence to do so,” said Raj Sinha while addressing the rally.

The founder of Pahela Kadam School, Anita Agrawal, on the occasion said that disabled people also want to lead life like any common man in the society. They want to participate in social activities too.

“Pahla Kadam School has been organizing such rallies for the last 15 years. The aim of the rally is to promote their rights and well being in all spheres of society and development,” said Anita Agrawal.

Social activist Ankesh Raj on the occasion observed that the rally was organized to mark the international disabled day and threw light on how these differently-abled people  can lead a normal life and move ahead in education.
