Dhanbad, April 27: Bike-borne miscreants fired on the car of Sindri Lions Public School principal Ramesh Sharma and threw an extortion letter in his quarter.
Officer-in-charge of Sindri police station Shivchandan Kumbhkar said that on the complaint of the school principal, an FIR has been lodged under Section 387,506, 34 B and 27 Arms Act under Section 38/23 against unidentified criminals.
The police recovered an empty cartridge on the spot near car and an extortion letter from the front of the principal’s quarter.
The principal, in his complaint, to the police said that on Wednesday evening at around 6.30 pm two bike-borne unidentified criminals fired bullets at his parked car ( Ford Fiesta JH 10 AA 3432)at quarter ( FD-9) and threw a threatening letter before speeding away.
The principal was out of his house at the time of the incident. The Sindri police were informed duly. The wife of the principal and the residents of other quarters also saw the miscreants firing and throwing the extortion letter.
