Babloo Singh, a railway contractor of Adra Rail Division of South Eastern Railway Zone, was gunned down on April 2 evening at Bhaga railway siding of Dhanbad district while getting maintenance work of track in the evening, two bike-borne killers shot him there. The SSP said the arrested accused admitted to being present on the spot at the time of the crime.

On the written complaint of Prabhu Singh (brother-in-law of Babloo Singh), an FIR was lodged in the Jorapokhar police station of Dhanbad district on April 3.

The SSP said that since Babloo Singh refused to be a member of the contractor syndicate in the Adra rail division he was killed by Manoj Singh and his group.
