Dhanbad, Feb 4: Before the arrival of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Golf Ground where JMM is celebrating its 51st foundation day, police removed striking contractual ANM, Sahiyas from the rally spot.

Being driven out from the stadium, striking health staff ANM and Sahiyas began camping on side of the road with posters and banners in support of their association demands.

Notably, Chief minister Hemant Soren, JMM supremo Shibu Soren and other senior leaders, and MLAs are to address the party’s 51st foundation rally in the afternoon at Golf Ground where JMM was founded on February 4, 1972.

Earlier, the striking contractual ANM and Sahiya arrived at the rally spot of Gold Ground to draw the attention of the chief minister toward their indefinite strike and hand over their memorandum to him. But as they assembled in large numbers senior police officials sensing demonstration from them removed all agitating contractual health staff.

The contractual health staff said that they have arrived to hand over a memorandum to the chief minister and not hold any demonstration on such occasion which is a personal program of JMM. But the police arbitrarily removed us forcibly.

“Contractual health employees have been sitting on an indefinite dharna at Ranchi from January 16 notwithstanding the state government has not taken cognizance of genuine demands. We would continue agitation across the state till contractual health employees of National Health Mission are regularized,” the agitating ANM worker said.
