Dhanbad, July 26: In its effort to provide quality entrepreneurial skills to youth and women, Tata Steel Foundation (TSF), Jharia division in collaboration with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute organised a day-long entrepreneurship awareness programme at JRD Tata auditorium Jamadoba today.
Indrajeet Yadav, joint director and HoD, MSME Ranchi and Narendra Kumar Gupta, chief Sijua group of Tata Steel Jharia Division jointly inaugurated the training programme.
TSF officials said that the programme was organised to create awareness among youths and women about various facets of entrepreneurship as an alternative career option. During the programme, a brief discussion was also held on business ideas, schemes and incentives offered by different agencies.
More than 200 unemployed youths and Women of Jamadoba and Sijua area participated in the day-long programme.
“After this awareness programme, MSME Dhanbad and TSF Jamadoba will conduct a general entrepreneurship development programme which will be a unique training module developed and practised by MSME,” said the official.
The speakers said capacity building and preparation of youth and women for business development will also be looked after. The initiatives will also include sessions on empowerment, business, exposure visits, and interaction with successful entrepreneurs, government officials and support agencies.
“The joint venture of MSME Dhanbad and TSF Jamadoba will also provide networking support with agencies and marketing services to the participants,” a TSF official said.
General manager of district industry centre Dilip Kumar Sharma, Dhanbad, Jharkhand Industry and Trade Association (JITA) general secretary Rajeev Sharma, assistant director MSME Ranchi Surendra Sharma, assistant director MSME Dhanbad branch Deepak Kumar, investigator MSME Dhanbad branch Sujeet Kumar, head -human resource and business partner, Jharia Division, Tata Steel, Pankaj Das, Santosh Mahato, regional secretary, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union (RCMS), Rajesh Kumar, unit head, Tata Steel Foundation, Jharia Division also addressed the programme.
