Dhanbad, July 13: An unemployed youth identified as Chandan Thakur (20) was found hanging with a conveyor belt of the Madhuban coal washery of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) near Matigarh check post under the Baghmara police station, around 35 km away from here, in the morning today.
A police team of the Baghmara police station on getting information about the incident reached the spot and took the body in possession. Officer-in-charge Nitish Aswani told media persons that the body has been sent for postmortem. The police are investigating the matter.
The house of Chandan Thakur is in the Matigarh area under Baghmara police station and his body was found hanging with a conveyor belt of washery hardly 500 metres away.
Mangra Thakur, son of the deceased said that Chandan had gone out of the house in the late evening after taking a meal but did not return at night. In the early morning, his body was found hanging in a washery.
Mangra Thakur, who runs a saloon, said that in the evening Chandan looked normal and no sign of any tension was visible on his face. Chandan Thakur was the youngest of three brothers.
