Dhanbad, July 13: The development projects of Dhanbad, initiated under the District Mineral Fund Trust (DMFT), became the centre of attraction at the two-day 6th Mines and Mineral National Conference at the Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi which began on Tuesday.
In the national conference, only two districts of Jharkhand-Dhanbad and Hazaribagh were selected to participate along with other selective districts across the country.
Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sandip Singh, who represented the district along with DMFT team leader Farhan Sheikh and project manager Shubham Singhal put up the presentation about the development projects being launched under DMFT in the district.
He pointed out reviving of Sadar hospital after 38 years, modernization of 10 Community Health Centres (CHC) of the district, construction of rural roads, rail overbridge, flyover, widening of rail underpass on NH-32 near Dhanbad railway station and drinking water projects in different parts of the district in the conference.
The officials of the 6th Mines and Mineral National Conference said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi appreciated the projects launched by Dhanbad DMFT and its achievements despite all odds, especially how the district administration worked during Covid-19 through DMFT.
The Dhanbad DC while addressing the seminar displayed the major projects taken under DMFT which has made major changes in the lifestyle of a large population living in backward areas.
