Mumbai: Explosive allegations have surfaced in the death case of celebrity manager Disha Salian, with the lawyer representing her father claiming that there are eyewitnesses who saw Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray, actors Aditya Pancholi and Dino Morea, and Thackeray’s bodyguards gang-raping Salian. Advocate Nilesh Ojha made the claims while expressing doubts over the probe being conducted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Ojha has filed a fresh petition in the Bombay High Court seeking an FIR against the accused. The petition also questions the transparency and intent of the SIT, which has been probing the case since 2023 but has not yet submitted its report.
Serious Allegations and Eyewitness Claims
Speaking to the media, Ojha stated, “There are eyewitnesses who have seen Aaditya Thackeray, Aditya Pancholi, Dino Morea and his bodyguards gang-raping Disha Salian. There is more than enough evidence for an FIR.”
Disha Salian, who had earlier managed the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after reportedly falling from a high-rise apartment in Mumbai. An Accidental Death Report (ADR) was filed by police at the time. Days later, on June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead under mysterious circumstances, a case now being handled by the CBI.
Ojha alleged that Aaditya Thackeray attended a party hosted by Disha Salian the night she died. The plea filed in court names Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea as attendees, seeking an official investigation and FIR against them.
Distrust in SIT, Faith in Fadnavis and Centre
Ojha clarified that while the Salian family trusts Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, they believe the SIT is failing in its duty. “We trust Fadnavis, but not the SIT. Officers are not briefing him properly. If junior SIT officials are probing senior police officers, it’s futile,” he said.
He also alleged that Thackeray misled the public by claiming that the CBI had investigated the case and given him a clean chit. “We have requested action against Thackeray for perjury. The CBI never investigated this case,” Ojha said, urging the court to act.
Thackeray Responds
Responding to the renewed allegations, Aaditya Thackeray dismissed them as politically motivated. “This has been going on for the last five years. If the matter is in court, I’ll respond in court,” the Worli MLA told reporters.
