District level advisory committee meeting held in Ramgarh

Ramgarh, July 21: A meeting of the District Level Consultative Committee was organized on Thursday, under the chairmanship of Designated Officer cum Sub-Divisional Officer Mohammad Javed Hussain.

The designated officer cum sub-divisional officer directed the Food Safety Officer, Ramgarh to check the food license/registration of all the food establishments under Ramgarh district to ensure that all food establishments have food license/registration available. Whether it is the same or not, he checked the quality of food items such as oil, spices, etc., used in food preparation in all government/non-government canteens/restaurants in Ramgarh district. He also directed to take action as per the provisions contained in the Act 2006.

Subdivisional Officer, directed for quality check of food items prepared in all Anganwadi centers/Sadar Hospital and other private canteens/restaurants under Ramgarh district, through State Government-run Mobile Food Testing Van. Food Safety Officer, Ramgarh for regular sampling. Instructions were given by the Sub-Divisional Officer to collect the fine from the Anganwadi workers as per the provisions contained in the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

During the meeting, the Sub-Divisional Officer requested the District Supply Officer, Ramgarh that all government ration shopkeepers (PDS Dealers) of Ramgarh district should have proper pest control to keep their establishment Food and Grain (PDS GODOWNS) clean and pest free.

Sub-Divisional Officer directed the District Social Welfare Officer, Ramgarh to make the general public aware of the information related to food security, in coordination with the Food Safety Officer, Ramgarh during the month of nutrition in September.

Sub-Divisional Officer directed the District Food Safety Officer to give information to all the restaurant operators/food businessmen/members of Ramgarh district to get mandatory training.
