Ramgarh: On Saturday, a meeting of District Level Road Safety Committee was organized at the Collectorate Hall under the chairmanship of Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra.
Discussion regarding the time limit of no entry in Ramgarh urban area was held in presence of Mishra and Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey. The Deputy Commissioner directed to strictly follow the no entry rules. During the meeting, attention was drawn to the issue of traffic problem due to the passing of buses through Ramgarh urban area by the Sub-Divisional Officer Mohammad Javed Hussain, on which the Deputy Commissioner did not allow any heavy passenger vehicle to pass through Ramgarh urban area and all necessary instructions were given to arrange for large passenger vehicles to exit the city from the bus stand via Patel Chowk only.
In view of the problems being faced by the common people due to the dilapidated condition of the road near Kothar Over Bridge, during the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Project Officer NHAI Ranchi to get the road repaired. Problem of traffic due to the movement of animals near Chatti Bazar and Subhash Chowk in Ramgarh urban area, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police gave many important instructions to check it.
In view of the problems being faced in the traffic system due to encroachment, the Deputy Commissioner directed to deal strictly with the problem of encroachment. For this, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary instructions to the officers regarding removal of encroachments from various areas of Ramgarh including Gola DVC Chowk.
Deputy Commissioner said that if a person dies in a road accident, compensation amount up to Rs 1 lakh is provided to the dependent through the State Disaster Response Fund, the same compensation in hit and run cases is provided. Along with this, for the person who takes the victim to the hospital at the time of the accident, an incentive amount of Rs 5000 is given by the state government to the person concerned. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner directed all the administrative and police officers to give wide publicity to it and take prompt action when such cases come to the fore and pay compensation to the concerned.
During the meeting, the Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey directed the concerned officers to take necessary action to install adequate number of street lights for the purpose of preventing accidents on National Highways and State Highways.
