Ranchi, Jan 20: Ranchi University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ajit Kumar Sinha on Friday urged students to continue their education and not stop with the degrees of graduation and post-graduation. Dr Sinha was addressing students at the fourth Convocation Ceremony at Marwari College.
The VC further urged students to ponder on the challenges they face and overcome their drawbacks and continue training themselves. He further stated that the reigns of the nation will be in the hands of the youth within the next few years. “Make sure that where ever you go, no one can show you down,” he instructed.
The VC also informed students of the several courses offered under Ranchi University by IIT Bombay, and IBM and said that students should continue updating their skills for benefits in the long run.
The VC later inaugurated the three-storey building in the girls’ college. As per sources, the building has 22 rooms for the female students of the college and around 2500 girls can attend the classes at the same time.
Notably, a total of 7235 degrees were distributed among students of three batches of graduation and masters each. Of these, 6,382 degrees were given to students for graduation courses, and 853 degrees were given to students for Masters’s courses.
Of the above-mentioned batches of students, gold medals were given to 92 toppers of both graduation and masters programmes. These include 30 students from the 2016 batch, 30 students from the 2017 batch and 32 students from the 2018 batch.
