DPS Ranchi: CBSE school principals discuss board exam pattern, syllabus

Ranchi, Sept 9: The Delhi Public School Ranchi hosted a Principals’ Meet and Felicitation Programme for more than 100 principals from various CBSE schools of Ranchi zone on Friday.

The occasion was graced by Jagadish Barman, Regional Officer, CBSE Patna Region and Dr Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi and CBSE City Coordinator, Ranchi Zone. The other dignitaries present included City Coordinators, Deputy City Coordinators and Centre Superintendents.

In the meeting, Dr. Ram Singh shared an overview of students’ performance of Patna Region in CBSE (2021-22) Class X and XII Board Exams. He also stressed on the important information related to Registration of Class IX & XI as per provisions of Examination Bylaws, CBSE Board Exam 2023 Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Assessment Scheme, Exam Question Pattern including Competency-Based Questions (Multiple Choice Questions, Case based questions), Submission of Applications regarding School Affiliation, Safety Measures of students in schools which include School Infrastructure, Fire safety norms, transportation etc.

He also shared the importance of Teacher training programmes conducted by the CBSE which aim to augment subject knowledge, teaching skills and learning new teaching techniques to enable joyful and innovative transaction of curriculum in the classroom.

The principal further highlighted the benefits of the Tele-counseling initiative launched by CBSE for the students of Classes X and XII and CBSE Dost life App for the psychological counseling of both students and their parents.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Barman, Regional Officer, CBSE Patna region appreciated the principals for their dedication and perseverance. He also shared queries related to the Centre of Examination, evaluation process etc. which he answered.

Thereafter, the City Coordinators, Deputy City Coordinators, Centre Superintendents and Principals were felicitated by the Regional Officer as they played a vital role in the smooth conduction of Board Exams in Covid Era and for contributing immensely in the field of education by imparting quality education to young learners.
