DPS Ranchi organises astronomical camp for students

Ranchi, March 12: With an aim to provide an experiential, hands-on learning experience and astronomical prospectus to young minds, DPS Ranchi conducted an Astronomy Camp for classes III and IV students on the school campus.

The space enthusiasts were excited to start their session and enter the magical world of our Universe, Solar System, galaxies etc. Children learnt about the Solar System, the shape of the Earth and other planets, the Phases of the moon and much more.

The Camp opened the doors to exciting and new concepts of astronomy and space sciences, through interactive presentations, the use of technology, a series of easy and friendly demonstrations and, experiential activities to enhance the learning curve. The session also helped the students in boosting their creativity.

Highlighting the importance of experiential learning, Principal Dr Ram Singh said, “DPS Ranchi believes in giving the students proper exposure and knowledge beyond textbooks and four walls of the classroom.  It will develop the students’ interest in studies and help them in their learning.”
