Ranchi, March 16: Amidst sparkling lights and a myriad of hues, DPS Ranchi, primary wing, organised annual day for classes Prep and Nursery today at the Vivekanand Auditorium wherein the dynamic Dipsites took the audience aback with their awe – inspiring performances.

Justice Sanjay Prasad, Judge, High Court of Jharkhand, graced the show as the chief guest for the day.

The musical fiesta by the students was the first programme to set the mood for the evening. It was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and bouquet presentation to the revered dignitaries.

On this auspicious occasion, the principal of the school, Dr Ram Singh, emphasised how DPS Ranchi promotes the importance of co-curricular activities besides academic excellence for its students. These activities help students to develop problem-solving, reasoning, critical thinking, communication and collaborative abilities.

The school chose to bring out the uniqueness possessed by each child through the Annual Day theme- ‘Jashn -e -Bachpan’, reliving the most precious phase of our lives.

Right after the Principal’s address, the students of Class Nursery came up with a dramatic presentation themed ‘DE ENERGIA: The Award Show‘. The theatrical skills and the confidence with which the young thespians delivered their lines, amazed the audience.

The show saw students of Class Nursery giving spectacular performances enriched with scintillating music, vibrant costumes, brilliantly choreographed dances and props.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Prasad emphasised that it is important to understand the spirit of education and knowledge of science and technology along with moral values. He lauded the vision and the relentless hard work done by the students and their mentors for presenting such a message-oriented programme.

The next highlight of the evening ‘The Jungle Book’ was reinvented and presented very creatively.  It was a display of tales with a strong emphasis on the value of relationships, cooperation and alliances. The various events happening throughout the day were immaculately woven into a kaleidoscopic tapestry with the threads of diligence and determination of the students and staff culminating into a grand spectacle.
