Chatra, June 13: In a horrific incident, a drunken father hanged his innocent ten-year-old son to death in Karelibar village under the Vashisth Nagar police station area of Chatra district.
The whole village was shocked by this shameful incident and informed the police.
Police said father Bilesh Bhuiyan killed ten-year-old Pappu Kumar by hanging him by using a scarf to make a knot around his neck. The incident was reported to be at around 9 am on Monday morning. At the time when this incident happened, there were no other members in the house at that time. This is the reason that the relatives came to know about it late evening when they returned from work. Seeing the body hanging from the noose, all remained shocked and called other villagers.
According to information, Bilesh and his wife Kaushalya were in an inebriated state when relatives and villagers caught them. The couple had three sons and two of them had gone to work at a brick kiln.
Soon the duo started consuming liquor and under the influence of alcohol, killed Pappu by tying a noose around his neck. The reason for the murder has not been clarified yet. When both the children reached home, they informed the villagers about it. The villagers informed the Vashishth Nagar police station about this. As soon as the news was received, the police reached the spot and arrested the parents.
The station in-charge, Gulam Sarwar, said that the situation would be clear only after the inquiry. The villagers told us that only the boy’s father was involved in the murder. Now we have taken the boy’s mother also in custody to know what has happened actually, added a police officer.
