Jamshedpur, March 28: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of dry weather in Jharkhand today .
Weathermen said partly cloudy sky is expected in the afternoon and evening on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The trough from southeast Uttar Pradesh to interior Tamilnadu now runs from central Chhattisgarh to south Tamilnadu across Vidarbha, Telangana and interior Karnataka at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.
Another trough runs from Bihar to north Odisha across Jharkhand at 0.9 Km
above mean sea level.
The forecast for Thursday and Friday included thunderstorm/ lightning accompanied with strong surface wind gusting upto 30-40 Kmph at isolated
places over the state.
Light rain with thunderstorm occurred at isolated places during the past 24 – hours while hail was also observed at isolated places over the state.
The highest rainfall recorded was 12.2 mm at Kumardungi (West Singbhum).The highest maximum temperature 37.4°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 17.0°C was recorded at Garhwa .
