IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre also issued a forecast of fog and mist in the morning and evening for the next 48- hours.

The minimum reading plummeted to around 13 degree Celsius in Khunti and Daltonganj while Ranchi and its adjoining areas notched around 15 degree Celsius. Simdega too recorded around 13 degree Celsius today.

Most places in the Santhal Pargana region today recorded minimum readings between 16 and 18 degree Celsius. Weathermen said no synoptic features prevailed in Jharkhand.

“We see no adverse weather conditions which might impact Jharkhand in the next 72- hours. Weather would be mainly clear and dry in Jharkhand in the next few days,” said a duty officer at IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre.
