Ramgarh, Oct 31: Two labourers died while eight sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred at Basantpur main road under West Bokaro OP area of ??Ramgarh on Sunday night. An uncontrolled tractor full of labourers overturned. After the incident, the driver fled with the tractor while the trolley remained at the spot.
One of the deceased labourers has been identified as Manoj Yadav, a resident of Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The other person has not yet been identified. Eight labourers including a woman are reported to have been injured in this accident. The condition of one of the labourers is said to be critical.
The injured labourers have been referred to RIMS, Ranchi for better treatment after receiving first aid at the main hospital of Tata Steel West Bokaro Division. The workers of Binod Mahto Chimney kiln of Basantpur had come to Kedala for the Sunday market.
After marketing, all the labourers were returning to the Basantpur kiln from the tractor of Jagdev Mahto, a resident of Basantpur. The driver suddenly lost his control near Basantpur and the vehicle overturned resulting in the death of two.
