Jamshedpur, Nov 7: If the forecasts of IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre are any indication dry weather is expected to prevail in Jharkhand for the next few days.
Moreover, the complete onset of winter in the state would be slightly delayed.
Weathermen at Ranchi Met Centre said clear sky and dry weather would prevail in most districts of Jharkhand on Monday and the rest of the days this week.
According to weathermen absence of free fall of north-westerly currents is preventing the complete onset of winter in Jharkhand this year.
Weathermen said the complete onset of winter is expected after mid-November.
In Met parlance, the complete onset of winter is declared when the minimum temperature in most districts of the state goes below 13 degrees Celsius.
Currently, the minimum reading (night temperature) in most parts of the state was hovering between 15 and 18 degree Celsius.
Head of Ranchi Met Centre Abhishek Anand said no significant synoptic features were prevailing over the state.
“We also did not see traces of any western disturbances which might impact Jharkhand’s weather, ” he said.
Residents of several cities said they were finding the absence of nip in the air. ” Still we are using a ceiling fan at the night as without a fan we feel uncomfortable, ‘ said Anirban Basu, a Jamshedpur resident.
Met statistics revealed that the minimum temperature in Jamshedpur was hovering between 18-19 degree Celsius.
