Jamshedpur, Dec 15: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of dry and crisp weather in Jharkhand today and in the next 72- hours.

The Met centre also issued an alert of an abrupt fall in minimum temperature.

According to the forecast the minimum reading is expected to witness a fall of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours.

“The winter chill will increase as we are expecting an abrupt fall in minimum temperature during the next three days, ” said a duty officer at Ranchi Met Centre.

He went on to say that due to the clear sky and the absence of any adverse weather system the north-westerly wind will have a free flow.

Notably, the north-westerly wind usually results in a drop in night temperature.

Fog and mist would continue to prevail early in the morning. Statistics revealed that the minimum reading fluctuated between 11 and 16 degree Celsius in most parts of the state during the last 24 hours.
