Jamshedpur, Oct 21: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of dry weather in Jharkhand today. The Met centre also issued an alert of fog and mist in the morning and evening.
Southwest monsoon has completely withdrawn from Jharkhand on Thursday.
A Low-Pressure Area over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining areas of the south Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 Km above mean sea level persists.
It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over east-central and adjoining the southeast Bay of Bengal around October 22 and into a deep depression on October 23.
Subsequently, it is very likely to recurve northwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm over the west-central & adjoiningeast-centrall Bay of Bengal by October 24.
Thereafter, it is likely to move gradually northeastwards and reach near West Bengal – Bangladesh coasts on October 25, skirting the Odisha coast.
