Ranchi, May 6: The Rotary Club and the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University on Friday organised a blood donation camp and worked towards raising awareness for the same from 11 am to 3 pm.
A total of 52 units of blood were collected at the campus as both students and teaching and non-teaching staff members donated blood on the occasion. DSPMU PRO Prof. Rajesh Kumar Singh informed this while in conversation with a lagatar24.com correspondent.
The NSS branch of DSPMU; RIMS, Ranchi and a social organisation named ‘Connecting Hopes’ played an important role in organising the blood donation camp.
The coordinator of the programme, Dr. Abhay Krishna Singh, Assistant Professor, Geography and member of the Rotary Club, Rotarian Kanta Modi, President, Ranchi, Rotary Club, Amit Agarwal, Secretary, Rotary Club, Ranchi, Dr Yogesh Gambhir, Dr Hemant Gupta, Ganesh Chandra Baske, Arvind Maurya, Kavita Devgharia of RIMS and other teachers along with personnel were present on the occasion.
