New Delhi, Aug 30: Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, leaders of the Congress, on Tuesday demanded for justice for Ankita Singh who died after being set ablaze by a man for refusing his advances. They also requested that the perpetrator of the crime be brought to justice as soon as possible.

Only when the person responsible for this atrocity receives the toughest punishment as soon as possible, according to Rahul Gandhi, will the girl and her family receive justice.

He also advocated for making the nation a safe place for women.

“Jharkhand – The incident of ruthless murder of a girl studying in 12th is heart-wrenching. Criminals should be given punishment at the earliest,” Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said.

#JusticeForAnkita
