New Delhi, Sept 11: Dwarkapeeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati passes away at the age of 99, in Madhya Pradesh’s Narsinghpur on Sunday.
He was a well-known vocal opponent of the BJP-led government. In 1982, he was named the Shankaracharya of the Jyotir Math in Badrinath and the Dwarka Sharada Peetham in Dwaraka, Gujarat.
