Bikaner, March 26: An earthquake of a magnitude of 4.2 struck Bikaner, Rajasthan on Sunday morning. The earthquake was 8 km in depth and struck at roughly 2:16 am. There were no reports of injuries or fatalities.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.2, Occurred on 26-03-2023, 02:16:37 IST, Lat: 28.40 & Long: 68.06, Depth: 8 Km ,Location: 516km W of Bikaner, Rajasthan,” National Center for Seismology (NCS) stated in a tweet.

Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang saw a 3.5-magnitude earthquake the same night. “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, Occurred on 26-03-2023, 01:45:09 IST, Lat: 27.48 & Long: 96.15, Depth: 76 Km, Location: Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh,” the earthquake monitoring service tweeted.
Earlier, on Saturday, Myanmar was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred 106 kilometres north of Burma in Myanmar at a depth of 10 kilometres.
As two earthquakes struck the states on Friday morning, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh experienced significant vibrations. According to the National Center for Seismology, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck Madhya Pradesh close to Gwalior at 10:31 am, and a magnitude 3.9 earthquake struck Chhattisgarh close to Ambikapur at 10:28 am.
The tremors in Chhattisgarh were felt in Ambikapur for roughly six seconds, during which time several locals fled their homes in fear.
In addition to this, nine people died in Pakistan four days ago as a result of a significant earthquake that slammed the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan with a magnitude of 6.6. Due to the earthquake, four more persons perished in Afghanistan. Northern India also felt significant tremors due to this earthquake.
