Ranchi, May 30: the Election Commission of India issued a notification for the Mandar assembly by-poll which is lying vacant since March 28 this year after sitting MLA Bandhu Tirkey was disqualified after a CBI court convicted him for having disproportionate assets.
According to the notification, June 6 is the last date for making nominations while June 7 is the date of scrutiny of nominations. While June 9 is the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures. Polling will take place on June 23 and the results will be declared before June 28.
The notification was issued by the Principal Secretary of the Election Commission of India Arvind Anand.
