Ranchi, April 13: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today has begun conducting raids on Jharkhand cadre IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan. He was deputy commissioner of Ranchi when a lease for stone mining at Angara, at the outskirts of Ranchi, was granted to Chief Minister Hemant Soren.According to sources, raids are being conducted at 22 places linked to IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan, his relative Lovely (said to be his wife ) in Jamshedpur, Associates of Jagbandhu Tea estate and others.
Ranjan is currently posted as Director in the social welfare department. According to highly places sources in ED, other than Ranjan raids are also being conducted at the locations of circles officers and land dealers. The places where ED teams have been deputed include Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Simdega, Hazaribagh, Kolkata, Gopalganj. The team has also reached some land brikers in Hindpiri.
