Jaipur, Oct 26: In relation to the Senior Teacher 2nd Grade Competitive Examination, 2022 Paper Leak case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday began searching 11 sites connected to Congress MLA Om Prakash Hudla and Rajasthan Congress Chief Govind Singh Dotasara.
There were searches underway in Jaipur, Dausa and Sikar, including the residences of the two Congress leaders including Dotasara’s official residence, located in Civil Lines, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has called an urgent news conference to discuss the raids later today, giving the operations a political bent as the state gets ready for elections on November 25.
Earlier this month, the ED searched the residences of seven people connected to the paper leak case, including Dinesh Khodania, Ashok Kumar Jain, Spurdha Chaudhary, Suresh Dhaka, and others.
In this case, the ED arrested Anil Kumar Meena and Babulal Katara, a former member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). As part of its investigation, it had initially conducted several raids in Rajasthan in June.
The ED has been engaged in a money laundering probe linked to the leak of the 2022 Grade II teacher competitive examination question paper in December of the previous year. In connection with the paper leak, a total of 55 individuals, including 37 candidates, were apprehended.
The probe conducted by the investigating agency has shown that at least 180 candidates received the leaked question papers for payments varying between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh each.
