Ranchi, April 24: Enforcement Directorate team conducting a raid at the residence of CM’s press adviser’s private secretary Uday Shanker have received some incriminating documents. The documents are related to illegal mining.
Raid is still on as residents of Shanker’s residential locality behind Bangla School in Doranda Bazar are curious about the exercise of ED officials. Many residents who have never seen ED conducting raids are eager to witness the probe agency as the agency is not allowing anyone to come inside the house.
According to the information received documents received from Uday Shanker can prove to be an important link in mobile data investigation.
The ED, which is investigating money laundering in the illegal mining case of 1000 crores in the Santal region, had earlier questioned Chief Minister Hemant Soren after Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu. During the investigation of this case, ED got information about Uday Shankar.
It is being said that Uday Shankar has good reach in CMO and he has to come and go continuously. ED has information that much important information can be obtained from him in the matter of illegal mining and land.
Two days ago, the ED had taken the documents related to the stone mining lease of 0.88 acres area of Angada block from the registry office in Ranchi. This lease is related to Chief Minister Hemant Soren. ED also has information that Uday Shankar has a lot of information in this stone mining lease and other illegal mining cases.
