Ranchi, Aug.11: Three days before the date scheduled for appearance of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren before the ED, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today said that the summons is an honour of democracy as it is sent to those who oppose the prime minister.
“ED Ka Summon Loktantra Ka Samman Hai. Yah Usi Ko Jata Hai to Pradhan Mantri ko Chunauti Deta Hai,” said senior JMM leader Supriyo Bhattacharya addressing a press conference here. He reiterated his old statement ‘ED means end of democracy………..’
Earlier, the JMM leader said….”Yadi Hum Thoda Bhi Naraz Ho Jayen to Desh Ki Batti Gul Ho Jayegi” and said Jharkhand is the biggest supplier of minerals and pays the highest revenue from mines.
Expressing his concern over frequent ED actions in Jharkhand, he said Hemant Soren being the son of Shibu Soren is not afraid of any action as he and his party workers know how to deal with ‘Mahajan”, “Samant”, “Sudkhor”, “Shoshak”.
On the issue of the ED notice for questioning in the land scam, the senior JMM leader questioned ‘Adivasi Kisi Ka Zamin Loota Hai Kya (whether tribal loots anyone’s land)?” and clarified that earlier such an allegation had been levelled several times when Raghubar Das was chief minister. He said his party helps tribes get back their lost land.
The senior JMM leader vowed that his party will fight politically and legally and soon expose the conspiracy being hatched against a tribal CM. “Satya Pareshan Ho Sakta Hai Parajit Nahi (truth can be harassed but cannot be defeated),” he asserted.
The press conference was organized hardly five hours after the ED arrested Prem Prakash for laundering of money earned by land scam.
This is the second time the ED has summoned chief minister Soren.
