Pakur, Sept.24: The degree and certificates of Pakur Municipal Council’s Chief Executive Officer Kaushalesh Kumar Yadav have come under the scanner after a petition demanding verification of his matriculation and engineering degree certificates was filed before the Jharkhand High Court and the state government filed a reply in the matter.
In the reply, the government submitted that Yadav passed the matriculation examination at the age of 13, while the minimum age for appearing in the 10th (X) examination in Bihar has been kept at 14 years. Apart from this, Lalit Narayan Mithila University Darbhanga College, from where Yadav took his engineering degree, did not get his original document.
Not only this, Yadav paved the path of his appointment as the president and vice president of the Autonomous Council on November 4, 1995, at Giridih by writing an application. In the application, he gave his local address stating himself as a resident of Giridih district, but his address is written as Darbhanga district in his service book.
Jharkhand High Court advocate and RTI activist Sunil Mahato have complained to the Chief Secretary to check all the documents and take action against Yadav. But till now no action has been taken.
Yadav has earlier served in Giridih Municipal Council, Mango Municipal Council and Tilaiya Council of Koderma.
When contacted Yadav for his comment, he parried his reply saying the matter is pending before the high court and everything will become clear there. He claimed that all of his degrees and certificates are correct. ”If it was not so, how would I have been employed for so long,” Yadav questioned.
