Ranchi: A team from the Election Commission of India (ECI) is scheduled to visit Jharkhand for a two-day tour from April 11 to April 13. The visit aims to review poll preparedness, security arrangements, and other key logistics ahead of the upcoming elections.

In preparation for the visit, a video conferencing meeting was held today at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jharkhand. Officials from Ranchi and Ramgarh districts, including the respective District Collectors (DCs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs/SPs), participated in the session.

According to sources, the ECI team will conduct field visits not only in Ranchi but also in Ramgarh district. Discussions during the meeting focused on various aspects of election management, including security planning and logistical coordination.

Authorities have already initiated arrangements to ensure a smooth visit by the central team, with an emphasis on addressing security concerns and ensuring compliance with electoral guidelines.
