Dhanbad, Sept 16: The Hackathon and Coding Club of BIT Sindri students organised Smart India Internal Hackathon to mark the Engineers Day.
Altogether 37 teams participated in 12 hours (from 9 am to 9 pm on Friday) competition under Smart India Hackathon 2023 Software and Hardware Edition to showcase their innovation and creativity in the field of technology.
The organizers said each team had six members comprising programmers, designers, and entrepreneurs and a team leader.
Each team chose a problem statement from a pool of 239 problems under central and state ministries, NGOs, departments, PSUs and industries. The teams’ members utilized their skills and expertise to create prototypes and presented their final solutions to a panel of expert judges.
The expert jury members were Prof. Dinesh Kumar Prabhakar, Prof. Sachin Kumar Agarwal, Prof. Khustar Ansari, Prof. Tapan Nayak and Prof. Md. Akram Khan.
The teams were judged on the basis of their presentation and core skills.
The event was executed successfully by the team of Hackathon and Coding Club, BIT Sindri, under the direction of Kunal Mahatha (president), Ritesh Kumar (general secretary), Aniket Tiwary(vice- president) ,Divyansh Sahu(vice- president) and Harsh Kumar Jha(treasurer).
