Ramgarh: A review meeting was held to assess the progress of various schemes running in the Nagar Parishad area, with Ramgarh MLA Mamta Devi presiding over the session. During the meeting, the MLA instructed officials to implement all schemes transparently and ensure their benefits reach the public effectively.

Mamta Devi expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of the piped water supply project in Ramgarh Nagar Parishad and Cantonment Board areas. She directed the officials to expedite the project and ensure proper water supply to households in Ramgarh city and nearby areas.

Focus on Cleanliness and Preventing Pollution

The MLA emphasized the urgent completion of the ongoing sewage treatment plant project to prevent the contamination of the Damodar River from wastewater in the Ramgarh Cantonment and Nagar Parishad areas.

Tackling Fraud in PMAY

Mamta Devi raised concerns over fraud in the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Phase 2). She noted reports of middlemen duping citizens by charging money to fill application forms despite the scheme not being operational. She directed officials to investigate the matter and launch awareness campaigns to protect citizens from falling prey to such scams.

Additional Directions

The MLA also instructed:

•Ensuring the installation and functioning of streetlights in the Nagar Parishad area.

•Revamping and smoothly operating eight Ayushman Bharat health centers in the Nagar Parishad region.

•Promoting women’s self-help groups under the DNULM scheme to encourage financial empowerment.
