Raipur, Oct.16: An explosion at the Raipur railway station rocked the people present there this morning. The CRPF special train’s igniter box detonated after sliding to the floor at Raipur railway station, according to authorities. This explosion resulted in the injuries of four CRPF members. The event occurred at 6.30 a.m., while the Jharsuguda-Jammu Tawi train was on the platform. A CRPF jawan and a head constable have been admitted to Raipur’s Narayan Hospital.

The accident happened owing to the igniter falling while shifting, according to preliminary evidence. All of the injured jawans are currently being treated in a private facility. At the same time, one jawan’s condition is said to be critical. Six jawans, however, were said to have been hurt before railway officials acknowledged it.

According to the railway officials, a CRPF special train was standing on platform number two, relocating three companies. One box of igniter set and one box of SD cartridge used in tube launching, slipped from the hands of jawans during luggage loading at bogie number nine’s gate. This resulted into triggering a small blast that injured four jawans. Chavan Vikas Laxman, Ramesh Lal, Ravindra Kar, and Sushil are among the injured.
