Ranchi, April 9: TEDx Kanke’s talk show ‘The Billion Dreams’ had a gathering of successful personalities from their respective fields on Saturday. The speakers shared their creative ideas and their success stories in difficult situations.
Rajiv Gupta, Curator of TEDx Kanke, discussed the Power of Idea. He said that it was the gift of the idea that man has reached the moon. TEDx Kanke is bringing such new ideas on a single platform and sharing them with society. The main objective of TEDx is to introduce expression to the fields of technology, entertainment and design.
Actor Harish Patel, who was one of the speakers, said that one must have dreams, even if they are not fulfilled. Only dreams open the doors to progress. He also shared his story of struggles and how he made it to the Marvel Studios.
Poet and writer Shubhashish Chakraborty said that the tribal community in Jharkhand is rich in art. Chhau, the painting has come out of here and now it has become successful in making recognition at the international level as well. His efforts will continue in the direction of getting them recognised.
Angad Daryani, the creator of India’s first 3D printer and currently working on climate change, said that the speed at which climate change is happening, take it seriously. Water and air pollution is a growing concern. About seven lakh people die every year due to air pollution alone. We need to shift toward electric vehicles and move towards renewable energy. He also gave information about his own made air purification system.
Ali Afroz, Topper of the Differently Abled Category of All India Law Entrance Test 2018 said that if willpower is strong then no obstacle can stop from achieving success. Software like Tech Speech helped him in his studies.
Satyarup Siddhant, a mountaineer who has climbed all the seven highest mountains and volcanoes of the world, said that climbing mountains is full of uncertainty and it is the commitment that takes you there.
The famous Indie-Pop band of the 90s ‘Euphoria’ was also a part of the event.
