Ranchi: “DC sir, DDC sir, SP sir are all junior to me, but we have to work under them. We have got the promotion, but still haven’t got the posting. Everywhere is a dark city. Sometimes I feel like leaving the job, but what will I do, I have to do the job. When it is God’s wish then only something will happen.”

This pain is of those officers of the State Administrative Service, who were given promotion years ago, but till date they have not been posted on the new post. Many of these officers are forced to work under officers junior to them. Some call it a game of luck, while some state government’s failure. In such a situation, how diligently and honestly these officers will be able to fulfill their responsibility, it can be guessed automatically. These officers are neither able to openly protest nor raise their voice in public forums. In such a situation, it is not difficult to understand his state of mind. These are the officers who have the responsibility of providing the benefits of government schemes to the helpless needy people. It can be understood automatically how these officers who are feeling harassed and neglected by the indifference of the system, will be able to become the support of the needy in these circumstances.

40 were promoted, only three were posted

Notably, on October 12, 2022, 40 officers of the State Administrative Service were promoted to the IAS cadre. They were given 2010, 2011, 2012 IAS cadre, but not posted. There are only three officers who have been posted on new posts. All the remaining officers are forced to serve under their junior officers. At the same time, there are about 275 officers of the State Administrative Service, who have been promoted, but have not yet been posted on new posts.

Promoted state service officers take command of the districts in South India

Officers waiting for posting say that various states of South India are far ahead of us in terms of development. There, promoted officers from the State Administrative Service also handle the command of the district. But in our place the command of the district is being handled directly by the IAS. Still most of the districts of the state are backward.
