Bhubaneswar, March 8: Due to a significant number of COVID19 cases in the German squad, the men’s Pro League games between India and Germany in Bhubaneswar have been postponed.

The FIH said on Tuesday that the games scheduled for March 12 and 13 will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Women’s matches between India and Germany will take place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar this weekend as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the German Women’s Hockey team arrived in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on Tuesday ahead of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2021/22 double-header versus hosts India on March 12 and 13 at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium.

The team, captained by Lisa Nolte, is ecstatic about the prospect of facing India at the Kalinga Stadium. “We’ve never played at Kalinga Stadium before, so we’re really looking forward to that.” It will be incredible to play in such a large stadium, and we are quite excited,” Lisa said.
