New Delhi, July 6: An FIR has been filed against TMC MP Mohua Moitra for hurting Hindu sentiments over her remarks on Goddess Kali.

FIR registered against TMC MP Mahua Moitra in Bhopal over her alleged controversial statement on Goddess Kali. Case registered under section 295A of IPC for hurting religious sentiments.

“Hindu religious sentiments have been hurt by Mahua Moitra’s statement. Insult of Hindu deities will not be tolerated at any cost,” said Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

On Tuesday, Moitra sparked a debate by asserting that she has every right to see Goddess Kali as a meat-eating, alcohol-accepting deity because everyone has the freedom to worship God and Goddess whatever they see fit.
