Mumbai: In a dramatic development that has reignited public interest in the mysterious death of Disha Salian, former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, an FIR has been filed against multiple high-profile individuals including Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, actors Rhea Chakraborty, Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi, and former senior police officials.
The FIR, filed on Tuesday, also names ex-Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, dismissed officer Sachin Vaze, and Sooraj Pancholi’s bodyguard. The complaint was submitted to the Commissioner of Police’s office and accepted by the Joint Commissioner (Crime), according to the lawyer representing Disha Salian’s father.
Allegations Of Cover-Up And Drug Links
The advocate alleged that Parambir Singh was the “mastermind” behind the cover-up and accused him of conducting a press conference filled with “fabricated lies” to shield Aaditya Thackeray. He further claimed that Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) documents, cited in the FIR, mention Thackeray’s alleged connection to a drug business.
Fresh CBI Investigation Sought
Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, has approached the High Court demanding a fresh CBI probe into his daughter’s death. In his petition, he alleged political interference, gaps in the investigation, and a deliberate attempt to suppress facts.
Timeline Of Events
Disha Salian, 28, reportedly died on June 8, 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a residential building in Malad. Her death came just six days before actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. The proximity of both deaths had fueled speculation, conspiracy theories, and public outcry across the country.
While Disha’s death was initially ruled accidental, her family and sections of the public have repeatedly raised concerns about the credibility of the investigation and demanded accountability from authorities.
The new FIR and call for a CBI probe have once again brought the high-profile case into focus, with political and legal ramifications expected to unfold in the coming days.
