Earlier, a case was registered at the Colaba police station in Mumbai after which the Mumbai Police took person named Prashant Gandhi, Santosh Jadhav, and another person in custody.

Maharashtra Vahatuk Sena, MNS’s transport section, carried out the attack for allegedly disregarding local bus vendors. According to sources, MNS employees were irritated since the contract to pick up and drop off IPL players was not granted to a local dealer.
