Fire breaks out at six-storey factory in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, death toll crosses 50

Dhaka: A fire broke out in a six-storey factory in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka on Thursday. 52 people are reported to have died in this accident. More than 50 people are said to be injured. According to the information, many people jumped down from the burning building to save their lives. It was told that the fire started on the top floor of the factory. According to fire department officials, a fire broke out at Shejan Juice Factory in Narayanganj’s Roopganj at around 5 pm on Thursday. It is feared that the fire started from the basement of the building and spread rapidly due to the chemicals and plastic bottles kept there. According to the ‘Dhaka Tribune’, 52 people have died in this accident and more than 50 people have been burnt.

The fire was not brought under control till Friday morning

 However, it is not known how many people were trapped inside. Those who could get out have expressed apprehension that it is difficult for the people trapped inside the factory to escape. Police informed that a fire broke out in the Food and Beverage Factory located in Roopganj area around 5 pm on Thursday. The fire was not brought under control till Friday morning. How many people have died, nothing can be said yetAccording to the officials of the fire department and police, 25 people have been rescued. How many people have died? Nothing can be said about it yet. Said that a search operation will be conducted inside the factory after the fire is brought under control. Officials said that many people have suffered burns. Many people have been injured due to jumping from the upper floor. 18 firefighters in the factory building of Hashem Foods Ltd.Cars are engaged in extinguishing the fire. A large number of people gathered in front of the building in search of their missing loved ones. The identity of 44 workers among the missing has been confirmed

Dozens of workers were present in the factory when the fire broke out

The workers and their relatives who were rescued from the fire alleged that when the fire broke out, the only exit gate of the factory was closed. He also said that the building did not have adequate fire protection measures. In February last year, a fire broke out in some apartments in Dhaka itself. 70 people died in this accident A laborer told that when the fire broke out on the third floor, the doors on both sides of the stairs were closed. During this there were 48 people on that floor. I don’t know what happened to them. Another laborer told that 13 laborers ran towards the roof when the fire broke out. Suddenly black smoke filled.
