Fire breaks out in 60-storey building at Mumbai’s Curry Road

Mumbai, Oct 22: A massive fire has broken out in a multi-storey building in Mumbai’s Curry Road area. 15 fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot to douse the fire. The fire broke out on the 19th floor of the building.

A video of the accident has surfaced in which a man is seen hanging from the grill while trying to escape from the fire. In no time he fell down and died on the spot.

According to information, the fire started at 11:51 am. After this, 15 fire tenders from nearby areas were sent to douse the fire. According to the Fire department, this is a level four fire which is considered to be severe. At present, the work of evacuating the people living in the building is going on. Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has also reached the spot to take stock of the relief work.
