Ranchi, Jan 8: Names of five Jharkhand Congress Committee leaders including Alok Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev, and Rajesh Gupta have been recommended to be expelled from the Indian National Congress party for six years.
This recommendation has been made by the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Disciplinary Committee. The recommendation has been made to in-charge Avinash Pandey and state president Rajesh Thakur. This decision was taken in the meeting of the disciplinary committee at the party headquarters on Sunday. Apart from the three, those who have been recommended to be expelled include Sadhu Sharan Gop and Sunil Singh. The in-charge and the president will now take the final decision to expel these leaders.
After the meeting, the chairman of the committee Brijendra Singh said that notices were sent 14 days back to the seven leaders who made rhetorical comments against the state leadership. They were instructed to present their case.
A meeting was held on Sunday regarding the answers of the seven leaders. Rakesh Tiwari and Anil Kumar Ojha, two secretaries of the Pradesh Congress Committee, sent their replies to the Disciplinary Committee, seeing which the action against them was terminated.
At the same time, the other five leaders did not send any reply to the disciplinary committee. In view of this, the action was initiated against them. These five leaders, who did not respond have been recommended to be expelled from the party for the next six years.
