New Delhi, Feb 19: Several people including school students were injured in a collision between a dozen vehicles on the Delhi-Saharanpur highway. The incident occurred on Sunday morning due to heavy fog in the area.
The accident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat near Pali village on the national highway 709 B on Sunday when more than a dozen vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, and school buses, collided amid low visibility.
According to the sources, A bus carrying students from the Syadwad Institute of Higher Education and Research in Baghpat on their route to a marathon in Delhi was also involved in the multi-vehicle incident. According to one of the kids, there were a group of about 24 students. She claimed that when their bus was going to collide with a parked car, the driver applied the brakes to reduce the impact, but another depot bus slammed their bus, injuring several people. Many of the school children are injured.
Furthermore, Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the injured people to the nearby district hospital. Rescuers have also reached the spot and are ensuring immediate help for the victims.
