Pune: In a tragic incident, a food delivery partner was killed in yet another hit-and-run case in Pune on Thursday. The accident took place in the Koregaon Park area, near the Google office, when a luxury car rammed into the victim’s motorcycle and sped away, leaving him dead on the spot.
The deceased, identified as Rauf Akbar Shaikh, was working as a delivery partner for a food service when the incident occurred.
Initial reports suggest that the driver of the luxury car may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The police are currently investigating the case and are expected to provide further updates as more information becomes available.
This tragic incident follows another recent high-profile hit-and-run case in Pune, which involved a Porsche driven by a teenager. That case became controversial due to the alleged involvement of multiple parties, including the teen’s parents and medical professionals, in attempting to conceal the crime.
