Ramgarh, May 5: A deer’s fawn wandering from the forest reached the Teliyatu village under Patratu block of Ramgarh district.
Villagers said that the baby deer had reached the village to get water. Dogs were running behind it. When the villagers saved the deer from the dogs, it was again caught by the youths of the village.

Barkakana OP in-charge Mantu Chaudhary was also informed about the incident. The police reached the village, took the fawn into custody and informed the forest department about it.
As soon as the information was received, Forest Department Ranger Arun Kumar Singh, SBO Santosh Kumar Sharma, Sanjay Kumar Mahto, Shailendra Kumar Sinha, Brijesh Panda and Santosh Kumar Toppo reached Barkakana OP.
The team took the fawn to the forest department office in Bhurkunda. The ranger said that the senior officers have been informed about the discovery of the fawn.
After getting the instructions, the deer was safely transported to Birsa Munda Biological Park Ormanjhi.
