Forest guard found dead in Bhurkunda

Ramgarh, Oct 2: The body of a forest guard working in the forest area officer’s office Hurumgarha in Bhurkunda was recovered from a room in the office.

The body has been identified as Santosh Kumar (32), son of Aman Lal Sahoo, resident of Barkagaon.

After getting information about the matter, the police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.

According to one of his colleagues, after several attempts of unanswered calls, he rushed to the Santosh’s room. The door was found locked from inside.

“I knocked and called his name several times,” said the colleague.

His colleagues informed the Bhurkunda police. The police broke the door in the presence of colleagues.  Santosh was lying on the bed in the room and there was no movement in his body.  He was brought to Dr HK Singh’s residence in a hurry where the doctor declared him dead.  The exact cause of death could not be ascertained.

On getting the information of the case, the relatives of the deceased also reached Bhurkunda.  Taking legal action, the police has sent the body for post-mortem. It is being told that the deceased Santosh Kumar was appointed as a forest guard in 2014.  He got married two months back. The police are probing the matter.
