Foresters find baby hyena crushed on village road in PTR

Daltonganj, Dec 26: A baby hyena was found crushed in a village road between Chutiya and Pahar Kapu on Sunday morning, informed Deputy director South division of the Palamu tiger reserve, Mukesh Kumar.

“There is a protected forest at Pahar Kapu and this baby hyena must have come from the forest and while crossing the village road it must have come under the wheels of any speeding vehicle,” he added.

He also informed that the location of the accident comes under the Mahuadanr range of the tiger reserve Palamu.

Hyena is a schedule 3 wild life and abounds in the Mahuadanr range of the tiger reserve Palamu.

“We have registered this offense of killing a wild life against an unknown person,” said Ranger of the Mahuadanr range Brinda Pandey.
